Recently I've been itching to explore the architecture around my neighborhood, so these were the initial results. It fascinates me that especially in a city such as New York, you can have so many different styles of buildings standing side by side.

Unveiled Faces, Faithfulness
Created for Unveiled Faces, the 2010 Fall Art Exhibition of Redeemer Presbyterian Church. Faithfulness (in green) was selected for display. The show's title references Bible passage II Corinthians 3:18 - And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. Perhaps from the notion of coming into His likeness, and its mention of the Spirit, I connected it with the fruits of the Spirit from Galatians 5:22. Hence I titled the works after 2 of them, leaving open the option for a full series of 9 drawings.
The drawings came from my sketchbook, of people I saw in the city, and digital coloring was applied afterward.
